Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

Introduction to Rules of Conduct

The Rules of Conduct serves as a rulebook for all interactions that take place on Chrosmos, including but not limited to: forums, messages, club chats, private chats, and mail. Please refer to this page if you are not sure whether or not your content is allowed. The consequences of breaking the rules can be a warning, a mute, or a temporary or permanent ban. We cannot share information about other users for confidentiality reasons; warning and ban information will only be disclosed to the user in question in order to maintain confidentiality. Chrosmos reserves the right to revise this Code of Conduct at any given time. By using Chrosmos, you are agreeing to be bound by our current Code of Conduct.

The entirety of the Chrosmos moderating team reserves the right to issue an immediate ban based on an individual or team decision after reconciling to discuss the offense in question.

What happens when a moderator investigates a report?

While investigating a report, we keep in mind:

  • Context
  • Severity
  • Intent
  • Account History

Where do the rules apply?

The rules apply everywhere on site. This includes but not limited to:

  • Mail
  • Club chats
  • Profiles
  • Forums
  • Public chat
  • Private Messages

If the rules are unclear, please contact an in-game or discord moderator, and they will be glad to assist you.

1. Punishment System

To monitor and control the user-generated content, we continue to ensure the safety of our players by simultaneously moderating the chat. Our moderating team reserves the right to issue an immediate ban or mute at individual or team discretion.

Warning: A warning is issued to players who have broken any rules within the Terms of Service or Code of Conduct on a first time basis. However, depending on the severity of the offense, Moderators reserve the right to bypass the warning system and issue an immediate mute or ban.

A warning being issued will depend on the severity of a player’s actions in regards to violating the Chrosmos Code of Conduct. If a player continues to repeat or enact multiple offenses, the player should expect to be muted and eventually *IP-banned from Chrosmos.

*e.g. harassment and instantaneous swearing = an immediate and temporary ban

Mute: A mute places the user under a temporary restriction of social activities. If you are muted, do not *attempt to bypass this by creating alternate accounts (also known as an alt or alt acc). This action will result in a mute being placed on all of the offender’s accounts or each account being banned at the discretion of Moderators.

*this includes but is not limited to a player attempting to communicate through their Title or Description

If you are muted, you cannot post or comment on the following but not limited to:

  • Mail
  • Club chats
  • Profiles
  • Forums
  • Public chat
  • Private Messages

You will still be able to use the site’s other features such as using the building feature, decorating your property, playing the games, and buying items from other player’s shops.

The specific duration of a mute given to a player is at the discretion of the mod(s) handling the report at the time and surrounds but is not limited to: the severity of the offense, how many offenses the player is enacting at once, and any and all past reports which is visible to Moderators and administrators.

The mute durations are as follows: 10 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, and 12 hours

Ban: An IP ban restricts a player from all activities in-game. If you are banned, do not attempt to bypass this by creating alternate accounts (also known as an alt or alt acc) via a VPN or any other means. This action will result in an additional ban being placed on each account made subsequent to the ban placed on the player’s initial account.

The ban durations are as follows: 4 hours, 8 hours, 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, 180 days, 1 year, 2 years, and 5 years.

Permanent Ban: A permanent ban is reserved for users who have but not limited to: broken the rules repeatedly, hacked, or trolled. These actions are in serious violation of the Code of Conduct. You cannot use your account anymore when you are banned. Bans are IP and E-mail specific. A ban can only be revoked under very special conditions, see section 1.2 for more information.

1.1 Reasons for immediate bans:

  • Creating pornographic content of any nature
  • Any form of discrimination
  • Death threats/encouragement of suicide to others or other harmful behavior
  • Doxing
  • Hacking the game and abusing features

1.2 Appeals:

If you would like to *appeal your ban on Chrosmos you can do so here: [email protected]

We look for well-thought-out statements with at least one paragraph that comprises what happened, why it happened, and what has changed since then. Any statements that are not well-thought-out and detailed will be rejected.
